Make good use of social media: Education Director advises students

The Municipal Director of Education for Sefwi Wiaso in the Western North Region, Mr Abraham Fletcher, has advised youths in the area to make good use of the internet and social media to learn and make more research than sticking to only deviance on the internet.

Mr Fletcher made this call when the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiaso Dr. Kweku Afriyie commissioned and handed over 15-unit classroom block to three communities in his constituency to boost teaching and learning.

The projects were funded with his share of the MPs common fund with all communities providing communal support to ensure the project was delivered on time and at a reduced cost.

Mr. Abraham Fletcher municipal director of education pleaded with students to remember that that main aim of going to school is to learn therefore they should stick to their books and make very good use of them.

Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiaso constituency who also doubles as a minister of state at the office of the President Hon Dr Kweku Afriyie in an interview with the media after the commissioning said the measure of development in the country should be measured in the villages not the cities.  He added that since government has introduced free SHS there’s the need to equip the basic schools in the country to enable them prepare well for Free SHS.

Chief of Aboboya Nana Kobbina Mintah I, advised the youth in the community not to use the place for deviant behaviors.
