To help the city authorities regulate activities of transport services within the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis, a Route Operating Permit will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issuance of the permit according to the mayor, Anthony Kobina \nKuartri Sam, this will bring about orderliness and discipline at the \nvarious transport terminals and equally help ease congestion in the \nCentral Business District of Takoradi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, necessary engagements with transport operators and other \nstakeholders have been taken, to build some level of understanding from \nthis new policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor\n effective introduction of this policy, transport operators who are \noperating in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis have been adequately \nengaged for better understanding and appreciation of the new permit\u201d, he\n noted<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dThe advantages of the permit among others include the assembly\u2019s ability<\/g> to take full control over the transport operators and improve services<\/g> for the general public as well\u201de added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
