Residents of Takoradi the capital of the Western Region have rated President Nana Akufo-Addo’s performance in two years in governance as average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday, January 7, 2019 marked exactly two years when \nNana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo was sworn in to office as the president of \nthe Republic of Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several reports from reputable institutions\n including the International Monitory Fund (IMF) has stated that the \nGovernment is on track but many Ghanaians have mixed feelings to this \nreportage saying that; what has been stated on paper do not reflect in \ntheir businesses as well as their pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the streets of Takoradi, most of the residents who spoke to thepressradio.com \u2019s<\/em><\/strong>\n Ama Boadiwa Morcher expressed their dissatisfaction in the governance \nof Nana Addo laying emphasis to the promises and the message carried in \nthe manifesto of the ruling party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe voted massively for Nana \nAddo because we believed in him and considering the promises that we \nwere assured. Its been two years now and we don\u2019t really see what is \ngoing on, our President must sit up in all the sectors of the economy.\u201d a\n resident told Ama Boadiwa Morcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another person lamented the \npoor governance style of the president insisting that the economy is not\n doing as well as it is supposed to, citing the reduced patronage of \ngoods as his reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another expressed regret for voting for the \nAkufo-Addo-led government over what he describes as the several failed \npromises by the president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, others praised the president for such a feat in a rather short period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting\n education and creation of jobs for the youth in the country by this \ngovernment, many testified of their children and siblings being \nbeneficiaries of the Free Senior High School policy which took off in \nthe first term of President Akufo-Addo\u2019s term in office insisting the \nFree SHS policy has saved them the trauma of \u2018hustling\u2019 for huge sums of\n money to enroll their wards into senior secondary school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torching\n on job creation by this ruling government, one resident asserted that, \nthe One-district, One-factory policy which was implemented by the NPP \nhas helped curb the rate of unemployment in the country since the target\n for the project were the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others also said there is hope for improvement and expressed optimis that the NPP government can transform the country if they fulfil their promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
