The \nstudent&nbsp;left home for choir practice but never returned. Her worried \nfather reported her disappearance to the police 24 hours later. It is \nnow known that she was abducted at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi, an\n oil-rich town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four months later, Ruth Love Quayeson also disappeared.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 18-year-old took a cab ride from her home in Diabene to the Butumagyedu Junction and never returned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Priscilla\n Mantebea &nbsp;Koranchie, 15, was last seen on December 21, 2018. She told \nher younger siblings she was taking a walk to a nearby town, Nkroful and\n since then no one has heard from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rPNZLs9jtYc\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n parents and other residents who have lost their children through \nsimilar means on January 4, staged a protest in the town demanding \naction from the police whose lackadaisical approach to the issue, they \nbelieve, is the reason their children remain missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While\n residents say seven teenage girls&nbsp;have been kidnapped, police refute \nthis claim and say only three girls have been reported kidnapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BsyE-Kd3A3c\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Photo: One of the missing girl\u2019s parents&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\n Nigerian \u2013 Samuel Udoetuk Wills \u2013 is the prime suspect in the matter \nand has been in, out and in of police custody, but the police have not \nbeen able to gather any meaningful information on the whereabouts of the\n girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samuel broke cells and was re-arrested after a manhunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this week on Joy News when pressure\n started mounting, the head of police in the region, DCOP Redeemer \nVincent Dedjoe said they have run out of options in getting the suspect \nto talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos.myjoyonline.com\/photos\/news\/201901\/8323931773244_4625099415942.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Photo: The suspect \u2013&nbsp;Samuel Udoetuk Wills &#8211; is part of a syndicate of kidnappers&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect, apart from leading the police on a wild goose chase\u00a0in the Central region,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/23\/bringbackourtaadigirls-police-give-up-on-suspect-as-he-has-refused-to-talk\/\">has given no information that will lead to the rescue of the girls.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DCOP Dedjoe said all methods prescribed by law have been exhausted but Samuel\u00a0has refused to tell the police  where the young girls are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/10\/takoradi-dress-scarf-of-missing-girl-found-at-suspected-kidnappers-hideout\/\">although a headscarf and a dress belonging to  one of the missing girls were found at his hideout<\/a> where he was  re-arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4BZBRUr4Vc4\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Photo: A relative of one of the girls<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have tried all means to talk to him. In the initial&nbsp;stages,&nbsp;he\n took us to Kasoa [Central region&nbsp;suburb]&nbsp;and we combed the whole of \nKasoa yet he could not lead us to where the victims are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe\n is not even ready to talk. He will tell you he doesn\u2019t know where the \nvictims are,\u201d&nbsp;Dedjoe told Gifty Andoh Appiah on The Pulse, Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos.myjoyonline.com\/photos\/news\/201901\/6440807184825_7660898546946.jpg\" alt=\"DCOP Redeemer Vincent Dedzo\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Photo: Western<\/strong><strong> regional police commander, DCOP Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samuel,\n police have now found out, is part of a kidnapping syndicate that \nincludes his brother. They operate mainly in Nigeria and recently Ghana.\n Samuel and his brother&nbsp;have both served jail terms in Nigeria for kidnapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police\n are certain that Samuel has the girls because investigations have shown\n that he, prior to their disappearance, was in constant touch with \nthem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He promised the first and second victims jobs and the third, a mobile phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n police have called for patience and urged the families of the missing \ngirls to trust and give them time to carry out their duties which will \neventually lead to the rescue of the girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FQpB9gC72SU\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>credit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/news\/2019\/January-25th\/.php\">myjoyonline.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Pressure is mounting on the police to find three girls who have been kidnapped in the Western Region town of Takoradi.
