Majority leader in Parliament<\/a> Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has charged the Ghana Police Service to expedite the investigations on the recent cases of kidnappings in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis<\/a>; of the Western Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Majority leader made the statement\nearlier today when he presented the business statement for the first week\nending and open remarks in the first meeting of the third session of the\nseventh parliament which commenced on Tuesday January 28,2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the current development is\nthreatening the peace and security in the country and the perpetrators must be\nbrought to book and face the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further assured citizens that the\npassage of the much-awaited Right to Information Bill (RTI) will be done in two\nweeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the passage is not as a result of pressure from the public or pressure groups; rather Parliament is in the known of its duties and what to do in appropriate time for the citizens in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RTI is still pending before the house in its consideration stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
