Shama Konfueku, a farming community with a population of over a Thousand (1,000) inhabitants in the Shama District<\/a> of the Western Region for decades, has not seen any development due to Chieftaincy disputes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been an uneasy calm in the community ever since Nana Komfo Kweku (IV) joined his ancestors. The endemic chieftiancy disputes in the community is between the Shama gate and Dompoase gate of the ebiradze family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now, there is joy in the community as a new Chief NANA KOMFO KWEKU (V) – known in private life as MR. ANDREW KWAMENA BADWI was outdoored before the Konfueku community on Wednesday 31st January 2019 at Shama Konfueku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to his subject, Nana Komfo Kweku (V) asked for\nequal collaboration and togetherness to move Konfueku community to foster\ndevelopment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The natives of Konfueku expressed their joy of finally having a new chief to help bolster development in the community. The new chieef was paraded and escorted by 30 fully armed police personnel through the principal street of the Konfueku community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new Konfueku Council of Elders who will assist Nana Komfo\nKweku (V) are Ebusuapanyin S. K. Oven, Opanyin Kojo Ansah, Paul Kumah, Kofi\nKabrah, Joseph Abakah (Amemado), John Assabil and Isaac Dentu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also making the Council of Elders are Egya Kojo Nkramo (Oman Panyin), Opanyin Kojo Bedu (Kyeame Panyin), Ekow Naako (Kyeame), Nana Ben (Kyeame) and Kyeame Awortwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
