Tamale\n North Parliamentarian, Alhassan Suhuyini has been ordered out of the \nHouse amid wild disagreements in the session Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joy News\u2019 Joseph Opoku Gakpo reported that the Speaker ordered the Minority member out for making noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe was shouting on top of his voice as he walked out and then one of the guards approached and he left,\u201d the reporter said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHon member for Tamale North, please leave the House. Marshall, ensure he leaves the house\u201d – Joe Osei Owusu said<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suhuyini noted that the speaker was unfair since he was not the only \none making noise. He also said he was fighting a good course since it \nwas unfair of the Speaker to ask the Minority to apologise for an \nunsavoury tag on Lydia Alhassan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tensions\n rose in the House Wednesday as the Speaker asked the Minority, NDC MPs \nto apologise to the newest member of the House, Lydia Alhassan for \ntagging her as a \u201cbloody widow\u201d on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NDC MPs, however, said they would not apologise for their action and rather called for a review of the ruling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Minority leader James Avedzi noted that the use of placards in the House was not new. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\n noted that the use of placards is not always sanctioned by the \nleadership of the Minority and it would be difficult to identify the \npersons who carried the placards bearing the \u201cBloody Widow,\u201d so the \nleadership of the Minority would not apologise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Speaker has since noted that the clerk of Parliament reviews the footages and identify the individual MPs <\/a>who held the \u201cbloody widow\u201d tag so they face the Privileges Committee of Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On\n Tuesday, while Lydia Alhassan was being sworn into office as MP, the \nNDC MPs boycotted the event. While marching out they hurled placards \ntagged \u201cbloody widow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs.\n Alhassan is the wife of the late Emmanuel Agyarko, who was the MP for \nAyawaso West Wuogon until his passing in November 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His\n widow, Lydia Alhassan contested and won the seat. But the NDC is \ndisgruntled because there was violence at La Bawaleshie close to one of \nthe polling centres in the constituency on voting day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They want a probe into the violence and they also demanded that the entire results be annulled because of the La Bawaleshie disturbances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
