At this moment of grief, we\nsalute Dr. Kwabena Adjei\u2019s exemplary life in academia, politics and business\u201d. a\nstatement from the group stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The release signed by its President Arnold Appiah, further consoled that; \u201cAs professionals and social democrats, it is our pledge to his parting soul that we will ensure that the ideals he stood for as one of us, are upheld to develop Ghana; which he served relentlessly; from Jasikan to Accra\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur special heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Comfort Adubea Adjei and children. The NDC Pro-forum North America sympathize with you as the National Democratic Congress and indeed the entire nation recover from the lost of a priceless asset in Ghana\u2019s democratic dispensation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full Statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-pdfemb-pdf-embedder-viewer\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Kwabena Adjei graduated\nwith&nbsp;a PhD in Research Methods and Statistics in Psychology from the\nUniversity of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K in 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He began his political journey in\n1978, as an elected member of the Jasikan District Council in the Volta region.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Biakoye in the Volta\nRegion in 1992, 1996 and 2000 and was the Majority Chief Whip in 1994. Deputy\nMinister for Lands and Forestry and made the substantive Minister. In 1998 to\n2000, he was the Majority Leader of the House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Psychology lecturer had up-and-downs in his political career after he lost his National Chairmanship position to Mr. Kofi Portuphy 2014. That ended his bid for a third tenure after first winning the position in 2005&nbsp;while the party was in opposition.
