{"id":3423,"date":"2019-04-26T22:00:57","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T22:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/?p=3423"},"modified":"2019-04-26T22:09:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T22:09:54","slug":"the-unrealistic-decrees-by-the-ec-must-cease-proforum-north-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2019\/04\/26\/the-unrealistic-decrees-by-the-ec-must-cease-proforum-north-america\/","title":{"rendered":"\ufeff&#8217;The unrealistic decrees by the EC must cease&#8217; \u2013 Proforum North America"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The NDC Professionals Forum-North America has vowed to get the Ghana\u2019s Electoral Commission (EC) to institute the right processes for election 2020 which the group says will save the country from \u201cunwarranted disorder\u201d as a possible result of the unrealistic decrees by the election management body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement signed by President of Proforum &#8211; North America Arnold Appiah, Friday April 26, 2019; noted that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2019\/04\/19\/ec-treading-dangerously-on-ropaa-proforum-north-america\/\">EC has once again goofed<\/a> in proposing a \u201creview of IT infrastructure\u201d which requires voter registrants in the limited registration exercise to throng district centers to get registered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Proforum North America is therefore demanding a clear-cut plan for their so-called \u201cIT Infrastructure\u201d registration exercise since, it is obvious from the \u2018Jean Mensa decrees\u2019, that the EC does not have a full grasp of the country\u2019s geographic terrain and IT setup. The sovereign constitution mandates the EC to come up with modalities for registration but it calls for common sense, logic and wisdom to live up to expectation, for which the current EC is shamelessly failing Ghanaians.
