The Paramount Chief of the Krachi Traditional Area, Nana\nMprah Besemuna III, has expressed the appreciation of the Chiefs and people of\nthe newly created Oti Region to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa\nAkufo-Addo, for fulfilling his 2016 campaign promise, and facilitating the\ncreation of the Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Krachi Paramount Chief, \u201cWe are most\ngrateful to you, and assure you that your name will be engraved in letters of\ngold in the annals of the Oti Region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued, \u201cAs at now, we can only use our mouths to say\nthank you. Ayekoo, but God Almighty who rewards hard work, we are sure, will\nreward you at the appropriate time for your hard work in Oti Region. We shall\nnever forget you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nana Mprah Besemuna III made this known on Wednesday, 15th May, 2019, at a durbar held in honour of President Akufo-Addo at Dambai, capital of Oti Region<\/a>, on day two of the President\u2019s working visit to the newly created region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describing the journey for the creation of the region as a\n\u201clong and tortuous\u201d one, the Krachi wura noted that \u201cGod works through his\nchosen men and women as vessels of positive change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In His own appointed time, Nana Mprah Besemuna III added\nthat \u201cHe chose Your Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to effect the\npositive change for the people of the Oti Region and bring them to the Promised\nLand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated further that \u201cevery sincere indigent of Oti Region,\nregardless of political affiliation, believes and knows that, but for your\nexceptional courage and tenacity of purpose from the many intimidating factors\nthat gathered during the struggle, the creation of our region would not have\nbeen realized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was hopeful that the creation of the Oti Region will\ndeepen the decentralization of governance, with all the related benefits in\nterm of human and material development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are confident that having kept you promises in the past,\nYour Excellency will ensure that the governance development policy for the new\n6 regions, and for that matter, Oti Region, to spread development, as well as\nsiting the heads of departments and agencies across the entire region to ensure\nequity, will be carried out to the letter,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Krachi Wura noted that, as major stakeholders, \u201cNananom and JCC members will continue to play a very active and meaningful role in the development of the Oti Region<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
