Amidst the controversies surrounding the missing of Takoradi missing girls, Acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh has visited the families of the Takoradi missing girls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Addressing the media on Tuesday 13th August 2019, at the forecourt of the western regional police command in Sekondi, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana police service, ACP David Eklu disclosed that the purpose of the IGP’s visit since he assumed office was to cooperate with the affected families of the missing girls, listen to concerns and update himself on the various stages of investigations and solicit the families support to get to the bottom of the case.<\/p>\n

Among the entourage of the IGP, was the Director of Religious Affairs of the Ghana police service, Rev. Father ACP Arthur who has been appointed as liaison officer to support the western regional police command in updating the families of victims on the on-going investigations.<\/p>\n

Suspected Nigerian kidnapper Samuel Udouke Wills is currently standing trial for the disappearance of Priscilla Blessing Bentum who was first kidnapped on 17th August, 2018, Ruthlove Quayeson on December 4, 2018 and
\nPriscilla Mantebeah Koranchie on the 21st December 2018.<\/p>\n

ACP David Eklu emphasized that the Ghana police service upon discovery of the alleged human skeletons at the hideout of Samuel Udoetuk Wills at Kansaworodo a suburb in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, didn’t conclude in the press statement that the four remains that were exhumed are connected to the missing girls.<\/p>\n

The Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service noted that the affected families of the missing girls raised major concerns about media reportage on the subject matter.<\/p>\n

He added that if there were any lapses or negligence, the necessary disciplinary process be implemented on the part of the officers who were linked to the jail break of the suspect and convicted kidnapper Samuel Wills and related issues about the kidnapping.<\/p>\n

” The critical stage at the moment is to get DNA samples of the four families to be matched with the remains the police found “, ACP David Eklu said.<\/p>\n

ACP, David Eklu urged the media to measure its reportage and the general public to wait till investigations are duly completed especially on the issue of engaging independent experts to assist in the DNA test.<\/p>\n
