{"id":4221,"date":"2020-03-05T14:48:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T14:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/?p=4221"},"modified":"2020-03-05T14:48:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-05T14:48:37","slug":"gsa-schools-mmdas-on-ghana-building-code","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2020\/03\/05\/gsa-schools-mmdas-on-ghana-building-code\/","title":{"rendered":"GSA schools MMDAs on Ghana Building Code"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsa.gov.gh\/gsa-functions\/\">Ghana Standards Authority<\/a> (GSA) has distributed copies the <a href=\"https:\/\/constructionreviewonline.com\/2018\/11\/ghana-launches-its-first-building-code-regulation\/\">Ghana Building Code<\/a> to Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Western and Western-North Regions respectively.<\/p>\n<p>As a statutory body responsible for the management of the nation&#8217;s quality infrastructure, GSA sensitized the MMDAs on the building code to ensure the safety of Ghanaians across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the code is to establish the minimum requirements to provide a reasonable level of security, public health and general welfare through structural strength and stability and means of escape facilities.
