The said Ghana card, labeled as a non resident Identity Ghana Card has the date of issue as February 27, 2022 and expected to expire on February 26, 2023.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Chinese immigrant \u2018galamsey queen\u2019 Aisha Huang is back in Ghana and reported to have even acquired a \u2018Ghana Card\u2019 as a foreign citizen and back to her old ways.<\/h5>\n

A lot of Ghanaians are at a lost how she came by the foreign citizen ID if the reports are true.<\/p>\n

Aisha Huang was reportedly deported in 2019 and has been re-arrested for engaging in illegal mining.<\/p>\n

She is currently facing two charges: mining without licence; engaging in the sale and purchase of precious minerals without a valid licence.<\/p>\n

Aisha Huang and her three collaborators – Johng Li Hua, Huang Jei and Huaid Hai Hun; were brought before an Accra Circuit Court last Friday.<\/p>\n

The GNA reports that, the court preserved Aisha\u2019s plea for lack of a Chinese interpreter.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Inspector Frederick Sarpong pleaded with the court to remand the accused persons while investigations continue.<\/p>\n

The galamsey queen and her three accomplices were subsequently remanded to re-appear in court on September 14, 2022.<\/p>\n

The prosecution told the court, Aisha had gained \u201cnotoriety\u201d for illegal small-scale mining activities known as galamsey across the country.<\/p>\n

Chief Inspector Sarpong recounted to the court that in 2017, Aisha was arrested for a similar offence, but she managed to \u201csneak out\u201d of the country to avert prosecution.<\/p>\n

The prosecution said early this year, Aisha sneaked into Ghana having changed the details on her Chinese passport.<\/p>\n

She resumed small-scale mining activities without a license and further engaged in the purchase and sale of precious minerals in Accra.<\/p>\n

She is operating without valid authority as required by the Minerals and Mining Act 2006 (Act 703)<\/p>\n

She is also found to have illegally employed foreign nationals, contrary to the Immigration Act 2000 (Act 573).<\/p>\n

The prosecution said she engaged in the sale and purchase of minerals with the three accused persons, and that intelligence led to their arrest.<\/p>\n

There are reports that the controversial Aisha Huang came to Ghana from a neighbouring country through a land border, and sneaks out if she picks up information about her potential arrest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
