{"id":520,"date":"2017-03-10T11:24:11","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T11:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aptnewsgh.com\/?p=520"},"modified":"2017-03-10T11:24:11","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T11:24:11","slug":"gprtu-denies-15-transport-fare-hikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aptnewsghana.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/10\/gprtu-denies-15-transport-fare-hikes\/","title":{"rendered":"GPRTU denies 15% transport fare hikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has dismissed claims by a section of the public that transport fares have been increased by 15 per cent.<br id=\"0.29031980873297125\" \/><br id=\"0.7386341448822284\" \/>Robert Sarbah, Deputy National Chairman of the GPRTU, indicated that increments in transport fares were long overdue but the process had not been exhausted to sanction increments.<br id=\"0.2974050828003456\" \/><br id=\"0.9106720902497254\" \/>Mr Sarbah said the union was still engaging with stakeholders and the official outcome would be announced soon.<br id=\"0.9107847606719277\" \/><br id=\"0.6567390759341718\" \/>\u201cWe are yearning for an increment but it will be done correctly.
