Head of the Physical Planning Department of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly Isaac Affum has revealed the office has begun a process of digitizing it records.<\/p>\n

He was explaining the activities carried out at his office to new Sekondi Takoradi Mayor Anthony KK Sam when he paid a working visit to the department.<\/p>\n

The new Mayor who was endorsed by the assembly last week has begun work. He first had a management meeting with Heads of Department at the assembly,\u00a0 after which\u00a0 he went round the various departments at the assembly to acquaint himself with their operations.<\/p>\n

He was conducted round by the Public Relations Officer of the STMA John Laste and the Presiding Officer John Davis.<\/p>\n

At the Physical Planning Department Mr. Affum explained that all documents on structures in the metropolis are stored manually therefore it becomes a challenge if they have to look for documents that are old.<\/p>\n

Drivers at the assembly also pleaded for an office space. According to them because they do not have an office they have to either sit in the sun or loiter about until they are called for their next assignment. They lamented this denies them the needed rest.<\/p>\n

Mr. KK Sam explained that he is looking forward to a cordial working relations with each staff member. He promised to run an open administration and entreated the workers not to hesitate to come to his office for their concerns to be addressed.<\/p>\n

The workers on the other hand pledged to give the new mayor the needed support to enable him achieve his vision of turning the metropolis into a world class city.<\/p>\n
