Police demolish new Sekondi-Takoradi trotro station fence wall

Some Police Service personnel residing in a rented apartment have pulled down portions of a fence wall which is under construction by the Sekondi Trotro Station branch on the Amonoo Street in Takoradi in the Western Region.

The fence wall is situated at the back of the rented apartment of the Ghana Police officers where they use as the back entrance of the building to their various destinations.

Speaking to aptnewsghana.com Reporter, Benjamin Bray, Chairman Eshun indicated that his outfit informed the security personnel before the construction of the fence wall, but they raised objection to it and threatened to pull it down. “We will pull down the fence wall no matter how many times you construct it” , Chairman Eshun quoted one police officer Addison.

Aptnewsghana is still following up on the permit of the trotro drivers to mount the wall and it is still not clear whether the actions of the said police officers were official.

According to chairman Eshun the members of the driver group were angered and wanted to retaliate but the executives and their lawyer managed to calm nerves.

Currently works on the portion where the the police officers demolished has been halted while construction is still underway around the perimeter of the Sekondi Trotro Station.
