Eighty-Seven (87) Days in Office: “I have seen a shock improvement in terms of stabilizing the strength of the cedi”…- Collins Mensah

The parliamentary candidate of the Progressive Peoples’ Party PPP for the Takoradi Constituency in the 2016 elections Isaac Collins Mensah is giving the Akufo Addo led-NPP government a putt on the back for work done so far after taking over the administration of the country.

As President Nana Addo Danqua Akuffo Addo chalked approximately 87 days in office, Collins Mensah, told Melody News’ Joe Bright, that “my understanding within this short period, I am saying that I have seen a shock improvement in terms of stabilizing the strength of the cedi; because without that we can struggle to establish a whole lot of things but it would be expensive”.

However, Collins Mensah is doubtful about the campaign promises during the last elections that saw the New Patriotic Party’s flag bearer Nana Addo-Danquah Akufo Addo toppling the incumbent John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“You see let’s give a little credit to them, now they are doing appointments, doing repositioning, a whole lot of things comes within this hundred days, I’m shocked that he gave 100 days for certain changes, it would never work and it has never worked from the days of Rawlings till today”, he said.

He further noted that “with my vast experience in this, I can tell you that the 100 days is just a promise, it’s not something that is going to change lives in Ghana”.
