What is the #10YearChallenge?

The latest internet frenzy movement involves posting a picture of yourself that was taken 10 years ago (2007-2009) and placing it next to one that is taken in 2019. The challenge is also called #HowHardDidAgingHitYou, and we are hoping it is in the harmless self-deprecating way. Although things took a turn towards the positive when it quickly got dubbed as the #GlowUp challenge – referring to how well people have aged.

Who started the #10YearChallenge?

As is always with social media challenges, it is a little unclear on who or what started the movement. But it has probably to do with Facebook’s feature that brings back old memories on your wall.

Who can participate in the 10 Year Challenge?

Anyone and everyone who is willing to share a picture of themselves from 10-years ago. Just remember that there were no filters then. Famous names so far include Jessica Biel, who seems to be ageing in reverse; Cardi B, she put out a video of herself performing to a Lady Gaga song in high school and Pharrell Williams, who looks like nothing’s changed:
