The annual International Safety Conference & Awards, of the OSHAssociation UK, Ghana region comes off at the Shippers Council Hall, Takoradi on March 29th, 2019 with local organizers promising a mega improvement on the successes of previous events.

Both online and manual registration for the event have so far received the desired patronage from the targeted industries.

This years’ event is on the them: “Advancing Transportation Safety Through Sustainable Framework”; and will cover areas of safety, health, security and the environment.

It comes at a time Ghana is concerned about the increasing rate of fatal road accidents. Experts at the conference will deliver technical papers on the various modes of safe transportation with emphasis on a sustainable framework.

According to Mr. Quartey, the International Safety Conference and Awards 2019 would attract top government officials and HSSE professionals from the public and private sector as well as experts from neighbouring Togo, Benin Republic, Nigeria and others.

He reiterated OHSAssociation’s global belief is that all workers and employers should have easy access to quality occupational safety and health knowledge they need, regardless of colour, religion, language and location.

In view of this, he said, aside the annual conference and awards, OSHAssociation has developed a full suite of health and safety qualifications tailored to international framework… “our job as a professional organization is to help employees and employers achieve high safety standards in their workplace; to protect both their workers and the future of their business”.
