Not wearing undies has brought me more fame than music – Wanlov Kobolor

Ghanaian musician Wanluv Kubolor has disclosed his aversion to wearing underpants has made him more popular, particularly among his female fans, than his music ever has.

The Kokonsa hitmaker disclosed this to Bismark Boachie, also known as DJ Premier, on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM on Saturday January 28.

Asked why he appeared more popular than his music, Kubolor said: “Ghanaians are reserved. Most people are not outspoken so when we see someone very vocal and outspoken the person gives us inspiration. And I’m someone who is outspoken and speaks his mind so people like that thing about me.

“Apart from that too, I don’t wear underpants and that is why girls like me. Some girls want it (sex) fast so when they know you don’t wear underpants it means you won’t waste any time [taking your clothes off for sex],” he jested.

Wanluv Kubolor is arguably the most revolutionary artiste in Ghana, credited with creating a unique sound that pushes the borders of Afro-Pop.
