Paapa Yankson to be laid to rest on October 21

[wdps id=”1″]The interment of late legendary Hi-life singer and songwriter, Paapa Kofi Yankson will come off on October 21 at Apam in the Central Region.

The burial will be followed by the final funeral rites which will happen in Accra on the same.

The family of the late musician announced this at the one-week celebration of the Hi-life legend.

The event which came off last Friday, August 4, at the Dansoman Keep Fit Grounds was graced by family, friends and musicians alike; some of whom performed at the event.

Musician, Akosua Agyapong and Hi-life great Nana Kwame Ampadu were amongst musicians who performed. The King Shabo Band backed the performances.

Other musicians who showed up to show their support were A.B Crentsil, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, Diana Hopeson, Della Hayes, Lady Talata, Bessa Simons and Rex Omar.

‘I Go Pay You Tomorrow’ hit star, A.B Crenstil, and ‘Agatha’ singer Nana Kwame Ampadu paid glowing tributes and shared some fond memories of Paapa Yankson.

Paapa Yankson will be remembered for songs like ‘Abam Kofi’, ‘Okukuseku’, ‘Show Your Love’, ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Bebia Odo Wo’.
