Prof. Grace Ayensu-Danquah the NDC candidate, has challenged sitting for Essikado-Ketan constituency in the Western Region to outline achievements he has chalked for the past 16 years that the people have entrusted the development of the constituency in him.
According to the Surgeon and Philanthropist, since the creation of Essikado-Ketan constituency in 2004 there are no good markets, proper toilet facilities, motorable roads in the remote areas which includes Ntankoful, Ahanta Abasa, Nkroful, Diabene, Agric, Ntaamakrom, Essikado-Kojokrom among others.
The Essikado-Ketan parliamentary candidate of Ghana’s biggest opposition party, made threw the challenge to the Essikado-Ketan incumbent MP when she met the Western Regional press corp at the GJA press center in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
Addressing the media, she emphatically stated that the current state of Essikado-Ketan constituency is in the emergency room where it is time to save it from the fragile situation for over 16 years without any better improvement from Hon. Joe Ghartey. She stressed that the constituency needs a paradigm shift by way of adopting new ideas.
Prof. Ayen-Danquah further queried that, “Are there any Essikado-Ketan constituents’ sitting down to brand themselves as NDC-NPP and still vote to their own disadvantage”. She therefore appealed to the Ghanaian populace most especially Essikado-Ketan constituents to discontinue the habit of engaging themselves in partisan politics but rather analyze and vote for a parliamentary candidate who has the will to offer better options on uplifting the image of a constituency.
